Tour starts 9.30am from 52 Rolleston Ave. Christchurch outside Ravenscar House Museum (opposite Christ College) with Real New Zealand Tours. On its banks are cycling paths, the green expanse of Hagley Park and beautiful Christchurch Botanic Gardens (often called the “Garden city”). View our impressive new stadium due for completion 2026. Next door the transitional cardboard Cathedral, next the delightful Margaret Mahy Children’s Playground and quaint Spanish style New Regent street.
We then travel (45 minutes) to the Award-winning Waipara wine region. This region is known for its warm dry climate and rich alluvial soils, ideal for superior wine production. Over 40 vineyards and wineries dominate the landscape of the valley with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc the most prominent local plantings.
Before visiting a winery we head to Glenafric farm where you gain exclusive access to this working sheep Farm. Glenafric Farm, a 770-hectare coastal sheep and beef farm. With South Suffolk stud sheep flocks as well as commercial Corriedales and Hereford cattle. Enjoy real New Zealand, this is an authentic true working farm.

We provide a delicious picnic lunch. It's a locally sourced gourmet grazing platter. You can enjoy this relaxing at Louise's Lookout, a quaint structure overlooking the South Pacific Ocean.
Back on board, we will take a short ride to Georges Road Winery. Here you will meet winemaker Kirk Bray. Kirk will take you through a tasting of current wines and a behind-the-scenes tour of the winery. *Occasionally we may have to use an alternative winery
You will then make your way back to Christchurch, cherishing the memories you have just made.
